The Druggists Circular and Chemical
item5

The Druggists Circular And Chemical Gazette is typical of business circulars aimed at the pharmaceutical retailer and related professions. Containing a wide variety of advertisements from pill making machinery to glass syringes, the gazette reflects the true entrepreneurial spirit of America during this epoch. Amongst the many articles contained therein, companies vied with one another for the market in drugs such as cocaine, morphine and opium. Such substances were used in a variety of legitimate medicinal settings including the treatment of toothache, coughs and other pains.
