The following register for Epsom Cemetery details the burial place of one Stewart Florence L. Actress - Billie Carlton (Age) 22  (Address) Savoy Court, Strand (Burial) 4 December 1918 (Plot Number) H89A 5972.
Details of Billie Carleton's funeral are not known, one can only speculate as to those amongst the mourners. Would Reggie DeVeuille have been present at the graveside, casting a lonely figure, his world torn apart by the loss of his close friend and the gathering storm of the scandal that followed. One might imagine that Donald Kimfull would have gone to ground by this stage, all too aware that the media interest in the tragedy might lead to further exposure from the coroners inquiry. Donald Kimfull was already a man with much to hide. What family remained in Billie Carleton's life is unclear from the records.
